We'll dye silk & wool yarn with botanical dyes & their extracts at the fire pit. Yep, there'll be brunch with handmade cheeses, too :)
During our 3 hour workshop, we’ll work outside by the fire pit, dyeing silk, wool, and / or linen yarn with botanical dyes and their extracts. We’ll discuss the colourfastness and ecology of natural dyes and mordants, as well as any questions you might have. At the end of the workshop, you can take your dyed yarn home with you.
While we work, we enjoy a small brunch by the fire pit with local delicacies, including handmade goat and sheep cheeses from Gotland Creamery.
All our mordants and dyes are non-toxic and approved by the Global Organic Textile Standard, GOTS.
Our Gårdsbutik is open on weekends from 10:00 to 18:00. The studio is open by appointment.
Children: Kids under the age of 5 can join the workshop for free, but please make sure your children are safe as we're working by the open fire and with boiling hot water.
Pets : Please notify us in advance if you plan to bring your pets. Dogs would have to remain tethered for the safety of our far
