Rare heirloom pieces: Hand-dyed and handwoven on Gotland with fibres and colours from nature.
Most of our yarns are certified organic from farm to spinning mill. All our mordants & natural dyes are compliant with the Global Organic Textile Standard, GOTSI use only natural dyes , and many of them are certified organic. My go-to dyestuffs are walnut husks, madder root, buckthorn bark, lac and indigo, because they have the best colourfastness of all natural dyes. All my dyes and mordants are compliant with the Global Organic Textile Standard, GOTS .
All my fibers and yarns are sourced directly from small farms, community projects, and from mills and suppliers that make a true effort for people and environment, with the key criteria being animal welfare, land management to protect soil health and biodiversity, a chain of custody for seamless traceability of the fibers from farm to mill, and a full commitment to ensure that there is no child labor, slavery or human trafficking in any part of the business.
