Last year we managed to break a new world record of 6,533 dressed-up Easter witches, bunnies and chickens and we of course hope that we will once again welcome thousands of costumed people to the streets of Visby.

Medieval Week

Medieval Week is the medieval festival that spreads throughout Visby, and the island of Gotland, in the beginning of August every year. A visit to the medieval market is a memory for a lifetime.

Gotland Harvest Festival

The festival is aimed at families with children, culinary tourists and those interested in the green industries. Here you will meet exhibitors such as food artisans, food producers and those active in the green industries. The World Heritage City is celebrated with market, music, dance, shopping, fashion shows, flea markets, exhibitions, good food and much more. There is probably no day of the year that offers so many different events in Visby as this, when Gotland residents and visitors meet in a vibrant city center.

Gotland Truffle Festival

The time when autumn and winter battle for supremacy is also when perhaps Gotland’s most famous delicacy matures: the Burgundy truffle. The Gotland Truffle Festival happens in November every year. It’s a great opportunity to taste and experience truffles in various forms through activities such as truffle hunts, tastings, after-work parties and a truffle market.

Medieval Yule

Medieval Yule  is similar to the Medieval week but in a more intimate setting and a much different climate. What our German speaking friends call a ”Mittelalterliche Weinachtsspektakel” is the spirit of Christmas in a historical setting, with concerts, shows, theaters, Glühwein and of course: the Christmas Market.
